How Do You Shake It Off And Step Up?

April 30th, 2012

shake it off and step upI love how this Universe works.

This past week I saw a story that came at the right time for me.  I loved it so much I wanted to share it with you.

A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer heard the mule ‘braying’ – or – whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened…and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery.

Initially, the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shoveling and the dirt hit his back…a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back…he should shake it off and step up! This he did, blow after blow.

Shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up!” he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought “panic” and just kept right on shaking it off and stepping up!

You’re right! It wasn’t long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly over the wall of that well! What seemed like it would bury him, actually blessed him…all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity.

That’s life! If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness, or self-pity…the adversities that come along to bury us usually have within them the potential to benefit and bless us! Remember that forgiveness–faith–prayer– praise and hope…all are excellent ways to “shake it off and step up” out of the wells in which we find ourselves!  Author Unknown

So the question is how doe exactly shake it off.  How do we let go and move on.

Especially when it comes to financial difficulties.

I have received a lot of request for financial help recently.  This is not what this site was intended for.

But maybe this what The Universe had in store for me when it moved me to create these 2 sites.

I must admit I have not been the best guardian of these sites because I am unsure what I suppose to share with you for the most good.

I don’t feel right about giving financial advice – since there is nothing in my bank account.

I don’t feel right about giving advice about the Law of Attraction since things have fallen back.

But maybe I am suppose to be the example of shake it off and step up.

Stop worrying about the finances move on and realize I am abundant…in all areas of my life.

Just like you are!

So here goes.

I am financially free. I am financially free.  I am financially free.

I would love to hear how you shake it off and step up.  Leave a comment below.

Shake It Off And Step Up!

Bubba Watson,I never got this far in my dreams. Thank you!

April 25th, 2012

Bubba Watson came into my life recently. Something I never dreamed about!

Yes he might have come into yours if you watched the 2012 Masters.  He won this awesome golf tournament.

Then he gave one of the most emotional and passionate speeches as he received the prestigious green jacket.

But that is not what I am talking about.

You see I have been helping local businesses generate leads and increase sales for the past few years.

Last year I came across something so amazing that will help every business, organization, church, charity, school musician.  Pretty much anything.

This platform will transform marketing using the shortcode 90210.

A campaign can be created and implemented in minutes.  And a client can have a return within days of using their platform.

I know pretty amazing, right!

Well it gets even better.  We are now receiving amazing testimonials from local and national businesses. Like McDonald’s, Smash Burger, Subway, Boulder City Chamber of Commer, Papa John’s etc the list goes.

Plus celebrities Arnold Schwarzenegger, Snoop Dogg, Pete Rose, Sarah Palin and now Bubba Watson.

You see Bubba is hosting a charity event called Bubbas Bash and the money raised for this event will help build a medical center in Kenya.

So why am I so jazzed about Bubba Watson’s Charity signing onto 90210.

Well Bubba is a special man.  You see he has never taken a golf lesson.  Never watched video of his golf swing.  And he is a man of deep faith. A man one who believes in his word and his family.

And he is very emotional. Something he never hides.  Which I really admire!

Plus he really likes 90210.  Check out his Twitter page!

I feel very lucky knowing that I am associated with an amazing company that attracts amazing people like Bubba Watson.

So if you want to spend personal time with Masters Champion Bubba Watson plus receive round trip Airfare & Hotel accommodations in Columbus, Ohio then Text: Bubbasbash To: 90210 for your chance to win this amazing prize!

Bubba Watson, BubbasbashThank you for being you Bubba Watson.  And thank you for using and loving our mobile platform.

Pushups, Situps and The Ripple Effect

March 6th, 2012

44 days ago I was inspired to do something I hadn’t done in a while.

You see, a little over 18 months ago I gave up a job that paid fairly well, kept me in shape but kept me away from my family.

I was a partner in landscape construction firm.

Slugging away and hanging with the boys was fun but it wasn’t my passion.  And when I found another direction to take my life 18 months ago I went for it.

I became a internet marketer for local businesses.  Helping them dominate their online local niche.

But with the freedom to set my own hours came the downfall of sitting in front of a computer all day.

And when the few extra pounds became 20 extra pounds.  And the well toned body turned to flab something had to give.

Well I am blessed to be surrounded by high energy positive minded people who understand the importance of a healthy mind and body.

It was actually one of my mentors who decided he had enough of the way he looked and felt and was going to do something about it.

So he decided to do 100 day challenge where he was going to do 100 pushups and 100 situps every day.

It didn’t matter how long it would take to accomplish this feat…just that it would get done.

Well you know I have told you that the bald guy is a little slow.  It took me 128 days before I decided to join the challenge.

Yes my mentor  completed the first 100 days and then decided he was going to do it again.  Encouraging others to join with him in his challenge.

So I finally did.

And those first few days were killer.

Soreness in all the muscles that a computer geek usually never feels.

But like anything else the more you do it the easier it becomes and now I am up to doing 45 pushups and situps at a time.  Not bad for a 43 year old bald guy.

Pushups On the way home from Atlanta. Doing whatever it takes where ever I am!

Here’s the best part.  My wife has joined the challenge and is on day 30.  At the start she could barely do 100 women pushups and tonight she told me of the 100 push ups she completed today 60 were the real pushups.

That is awesome.  A little bit every day and you  begin to see real difference.

My kids are doing it, my brother and his girlfriend and even my 80 year old father has started doing the challenge.

Wow!!!

You just never know who you will inspire by doing a little action.

It blows my mind!  It is the ultimate Ripple Effect.  Like the ever expanding ripples across water when an object is dropped into it, an effect from an initial state can be followed outwards incrementally.

The Ripple EffectAnd because my wife and I are occasionally posting our achievements and locations where we are accomplishing our daily challenge.  Other people are now getting involved.

This past weekend while I was watching my sons hockey game a father on the opposing team came up to me and told me how sore he was.  He told me after reading some of my posts on Facebook that he was going to join the challenge.  He completed day 3 the day he talked with me.

Then just tonight a co-worker of my wife said her and her kids had started the challenge.

I mean one guy because he didn’t like the way he looked or felt – Took Action!

Asked others to join.

And now people in a different country not associated with him personally or professionally are taking action.

Let’s take this global.  Who wants to join.  Leave a comment below and tell me you are committed to doing whatever it takes to complete 100 pushups and 100 situps every day for 100 days.

Join me on Facebook and share your story.

One small step can change the lives of many.  Thanks Pablo.  You Rock!

Leap Year – Enjoying Your Extra Day

February 28th, 2012

It’s that time again.  It’s a Leap Year!

Once every 4 years we get an additional day.

Or once every four years a person born on this day gets to celebrate their birthday.

If the bald guy was born on a Leap day that would be some party. The dancing girls, fire breathing jugglers, and clowns would be just be the beginning of the show.

I digress.  I found it fascinating and low that the odds of being born on this day were 1 in 1500.

There are 4 million people in the world born on this day.

So I think we should celebrate and make tomorrow extra special.

As one of my mentor’s, Max de Jong, shared ” We are here To Learn. To Enjoy. To Share”

So let’s enjoy our day.  Maybe in get in touch with a new Facebook friend and have a real conversation either on the phone or in person.

That is what happened to me a few days ago.

You see I was in Atlanta learning about a Facebook app that I will be using for my clients.  And a recent addition to my community on Facebook who lives close to Atlanta wanted to connect.

Despite the seminar going long Jason drove 45 min to meet me at a local watering hole in downtown Atlanta.

After getting over the slight awkwardness at the beginning of our meeting.  The rest of the night went amazing.

We learned a lot about each other’s lives.

The struggles and triumphs were remarkably similar.

We even have a similar passion of giving and I believe we will be helping each other out with our new projects.

The night ended and I was grateful to connect in person with another human being.

So why don’t we celebrate tomorrow by reaching out to someone new and make this Leap Year memorable!
