Self-I-Dentity Ho'oponopono And A Precious Miracle.

After I wrote this post last week I was inspired to contact a representative from the organization that teaches Self-I-Dentity Ho’oponopono. The reason I contacted her was to ask permission to write about this remarkable miracle.  I did not hear back from her and decided to post this story last Monday. Of course I heard from her shortly thereafter.  Rosemarie advised me not to post this story until after I had received permission.  I immediately took down this post.

I have decided to repost because I believe this is truly an amazing story.  If you have already read this post just skip to the end to see who won the biggest Lawttery of Attraction.

I am grateful for Patti and Noella who have made this a most memorable contest.  We also had another donation this past week.  So a big shout out to Veronica for donating $2.00 .  Therefore next weeks Lawttery of Attraction will $52.00.  Yee ha!

Now to this remarkable miracle that took place on December 5th.  So what is Self-I-Dentity Ho’oponopono? (more…)

Ok have you got your popcorn.  The lights are dimming.  Cue the loud music and action…

Mya Papaya, Sweet as Apple pie ya!

I don’t know exactly when or who said the above phrase.  But it is still in use to describe our beautiful daughter.

Today she is celebrating another year on this beautiful planet.

The streamers are placed .  The balloons are being blown up.  Mommy has just gone to pick up the special birthday cake(vanilla with chocolate ice cream). Yum.

I will soon be  making her special request.  Daddy’s home made pizza.  Another Yum.

I have many reasons to be thankful today.  Not the least of which both mommy and daughter are still with me today.  You see the pregnancy wasn’t so great.

However I am focusing on today.  And my little girl

She has the smile to brighten a room.

Her laughter is contagious.

Although cautious.  She is as brave as any I have met.  How would you like to go to your first school.  Not knowing any body.  Missing most of the school year.  And not speaking or knowing the language. That takes guts.

She did it with style and grace.

She is our fashion Diva.  Putting together outfits and accessories both in the real world and on Webkinz.

A true giver.  Donating her presents and money to her special causes.

She is as wise as an old soul.

The love for her brother is undeniable.  Sharing everything with him.

Those eyes.  Big, beautiful and sparkling Blue.  And they are always open looking for the next best thing.  She even scared the OB’s when they opened up Debbie.  Those amazing eyes were staring right at them( Who turned on the lights?).

We love you Mya Papaya.

Happy 7th Birthday Mya Ceceila Justina Slocombe.  Have a great day!

Emily Schreiber is my Hero.

Well, I am fifteen and honestly, writing this, I don’t feel very brilliant! I am simultaneously writing this ginormous English paper and still have to do physical therapy (a daily treatment for my cystic fibrosis). Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease I was diagnosed with at the age of nine, and everyday I deal with it. CF affects the lungs and digestive systems and is treated through both oral and IV antibiotics. The hardest thing about this is that CF never takes a Christmas Break or weekend off. In order to help fight this disease, I started my own foundation, Laps for CF, a few years ago, and we have been so blessed to raise over one million dollars! My foundation, Laps for CF, has received so much support for which we are immensely thankful.

I know that everyone probably has a passion or dream and mine is to do all I can to fight cystic fibrosis. When I first began to attempt to raise money, my goal was only to raise $3,000, and since then, the foundation has just continued to thrive and grow. It is really important to remember and remind yourself that there is no harm in trying, and as my fortune at a Chinese restaurant said last night, “nothing is impossible to a willing heart.” As you all know it sure feels easy to get down. For me it happens when I get a bad grade on a Latin test, a Laps for CF event doesn’t go quite as planned, or I get into a fight with my brother, but, we must remember not to get down because through life so far, I have learned that when things don’t go right you have to remember that life goes on and there always another sunrise and another chance.

If you want to learn more about my foundation, you can check out our website, www.lapsforcf.org. My brother built it for us!
